The Royal Southern Brotherhood recorded their new album "Don't Look Back" at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. With new guitarists and a new team, "Don't Look Back" captures the sound of a band taking things as they come and turning over a new leaf.
Last year saw some drastic changes for the Royal Southern Brotherhood. Founding members Devon Allman and Mike Zito have (amicably) left the band. Their debut album, now three years old, was followed by "Heartsoulblood" and a fantastic tour that took them to over 20 countries worldwide.
Of course, Cyril Neville is still with the band: groove god, vocal power and heart of the band. From his roots with The Meters to The Neville Brothers to his solo career, Cyril's iconic status was confirmed last year in New Orleans when he represented the city in Dave Grohl's Sonic Highway documentary. As always, he'll be joined by the master of drums, Yonrico Scott, as well as power bassist Charlie Wooton: the RSB staple who's been there from the beginning. So your favorite band is in safe hands.
