On the occasion of the label's 25th anniversary, 4AD is giving us an extraordinary gift with the re-release of the legendary Pixies classic "Doolittle", especially for the numerous fans of the cult band the deluxe package "Doolittle 25" contains, in addition to the regular, initially second studio album from 1989, two complete "Peel Sessions" from October 18, 1988 and May 2, 1989, six B-sides of the two English Top 10 hits "Monkey Gone To Heaven" and "Here Comes Your Man", all 15 "Doolittle" demo tracks as well as seven bonus demo tracks.
The whole thing will be released as a 3-CD box and triple LP with 180-g vinyl.
After the EP "Come On Pilgrim" and the famous Steve Albini-produced album "Surfer Rosa" (with the überhit "Where Is My Mind?"), "Doolittle" meant the final commercial breakthrough for Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and Dave Lovering - and the turning point in the band's history.
