Rory Gallagher's eponymous debut solo album turns 50 in 2021. Universal is celebrating this special anniversary with three different 50th Anniversary Editions - on double CD, three LPs and as a deluxe box set with four CDs plus DVD.

"Rory Gallagher" was originally released by Polydor in 1971. It was the Irish blues rocker's first solo album after leaving the band Taste a year earlier. In the spring of 1971, Gallagher recorded the record with drummer Wilgar Campbell and Gerry McAvoy on bass at Advision Studios in London. Two songs also feature Vincent Crane on piano.
