Blue Lab Beats are currently one of the most sought-after production duos in the world and stand for a Sound that they themselves have named Jazztronica and in which elements of jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk, R&B, boom-bap and African diaspora music flow together, Soul, funk, R&B, boom-bap and music from the African diaspora.
Their first EP on Blue Note contains five great tracks, including the smash hit "Blow You Away (Delilah)". The cheerful number is unmistakably inspired by West African highlife and Afrobeat and features ghanaian-born but now London-based singer Ghetto Boy, who is known as the "prince" of the Afrobeat scene there of the Afrobeat scene there.
Another highlight is the track "Nights In Havana", which Listeners with soulful jazz fusion sounds and a solo by young guitarist Alex Blake in Caribbean climes Caribbean climes.
