James Bay is back. With "Electric Light", the British musician releases his second album in 2018, the highly anticipated follow-up to his number one debut "Chaos And The Calm" from 2015.
But, instead of continuing the musical recipe for success of his predecessor, Bay has apparently completely rediscovered or reinvented himself in 2018.
This is evidenced not only by his changed look, but above all by the new sound on "Electric Light," which now combines influences from soul, hip-hop and electronic music instead of singer-songwriter and guitar pop. What remains, however, is his unmistakable angelic voice.
