James Vincent McMorrow
Post Tropical
McMorrow's acclaimed debut album "Early in the Morning" climbed to number 1 in the charts in his native Ireland.
The album went platinum and was nominated for the Choice Music Prize and also sold almost 5000 units in Germany.
McMorrow performed at the Royal Festival Hall, was a guest of TV star Jools Holland and wowed audiences with her charity cover of the Steve Winwood hit "Higher Love".
Now comes the important follow-up album: "Post Tropical"... will surprise everyone surprise everyone and is undoubtedly a step forward.
This is already clear from the first single "Cavalier": a song that develops slowly: from softly played keys, accompanied only by handclaps, to a big, snarling brass arrangement with drum accompaniment and McMorrow's idiosyncratic falsetto.
