"White Light / White Heat" is the second studio album by The Velvet Underground. It was released in 1968 and recorded in just two days. For bassist and founding member John Cale it was the last album with the band.

The album's lyrical themes are an eclectic mix of drug use and sexual innuendo (as in "White Light / White Heat" and "Lady Godiva's Operation").

The album was listed at #293 on the Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time.

This black vinyl version was engineered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using a half-speed mastering process that produces an excellent vinyl cut.
