With "Selected Ambient Works Volume II (Expanded Edition)", Aphex Twin celebrates the 30th anniversary of his legendary original album. Written by Richard D. James in his early 20s, SAW II was highly praised by the trade press both on release and afterwards (10/10 Pitchfork, #2 Best Ambient Album of All Time). The influence of Aphex Twin and SAW II remains unbroken to this day, gaining new significance across generations.

With the Expanded Edition, for the first time all formats contain all tracks, including #3 (previously CD/digital-only) and #19 (previously vinyl-only), as well as the two digital tracks "th1 [evnslower]" (aphextwin.warp.net) and "Rhubarb Orc. 19.53 Rev" (Soundcloud, 2015), which appear officially and on physical recordings for the first time, the latter in previously unheard quality.

The triple CD comes in a casebound cover with booklet. The quadruple LP will be released on black vinyl in anti-static inner sleeves with a fold-out poster and sticker. The artwork is by Paul Nicholson, the original album and Aphex Twin logo designer.
