Les Blousons Noirs was a French rock and roll band formed in the early 1960s. They were part of the yé-yé movement, which was characterized by upbeat, catchy pop songs with lyrics mostly in French. The band's name translates to "the black jackets" and refers to the leather jackets worn by the members. Their music was heavily influenced by American rock and roll and rhythm and blues, with many of their songs being covers of popular hits from the US.
