brian Eno is back with a new album in 2016. "The Ship" is the name of the long player, for which the musician drew inspiration from the Titanic disaster, among other things.

It is Eno's first solo album in four years. Most recently, he worked with Underworld member Karl Hyde on several collaborative albums.

In contrast to Eno's last solo album "Lux" (2012), which was a purely instrumental work, "The Ship" once again features various vocals. It is the first time since "Another Day on Earth" (2005) that Eno has sung on a solo album.

In total, "The Ship" consists of only two tracks, but together they have a playing time of more than 47 minutes. Track one is the 21-minute title track, track two is the three-part suite "Fickle Sun", which Brian Eno divides into "Fickle Sun", "The Hour Is Thin" and "I'm Set Free".
