On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of "Changesonebowie" there is a completely mastered version of the compilation in 2016. This is the first best-of album by pop legend David Bowie, which sold widely and celebrated major chart successes with second place in the UK and tenth place in the USA.

Changesonebowie" was first released by RCA Records in 1976. The album collects a total of eleven Bowie songs from the period between 1969 and 1976.

Included are "Space Oddity," "Rebel Rebel," "The Jean Genie" and "Fame," some of his most successful singles to date. Among the songs on "Changesonebowie" is also a special saxophone version of "John, I'm Only Dancing." Bowie had recorded this as part of the Aladdin Sane sessions in 1973.

in 2003, Rolling Stone voted the album #425 of the 500 greatest albums of all time. "Changesonebowie" is now available again in revised form as a CD and as a 180-g vinyl LP.
