Songs from the Sparke Lounge was the band's last album for Mercury and was considered by many as a Return to the band's old, rockier days. The album charted in the top ten on both sides of the Top Ten charts on both sides of the Atlantic, and also featured a collaboration with country and western star Tim McGraw on Nine Lives.
