Born in Rio de Janeiro, Elizete Cardoso (1920-1990) was one of the most famous voices of bossa nova. She enjoyed great success and popularity. in 1958, Cardoso was invited by Vinícius de Moraes to sing on an album of melodies that he had written together with Antônio Carlos Jobim. The result, "Canção do Amor Demais", which is presented here in its entirety, was one of their biggest hits and the earliest genuine bossa nova LP.
