Her accompanying album "Baduizm" celebrated worldwide success with further singles such as "Appletree" and "Other Side Of The Game", went triple platinum and stayed in the charts for weeks.

The native Texan's second studio album, "Mama's Gun", was released three years later in 2000. The song "Didn't Cha Know" in particular, as well as "Bag Lady" and "Cleva", helped her to chart success and another platinum award.
