Geese
3d Country
Following the hype surrounding the five New Yorkers' debut album, "3D Country" is the sound of a restless, adventurous US post-punk band redefining itself. In the summer of 2021, the band appeared out of nowhere and although the 5 guys from Brooklyn had originally intended to just release a few songs before college, they suddenly found themselves in the midst of album production for their debut "Projector".
Followed by features in the NY Times, Stereogum, Rolling, among others), a TV debut on Colbert, and support shows with Jack White and Spoon. "3D Country," co-produced by the band and James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Shame), turns out to be a wacky, wild and unpredictable ride that takes a close look at a world that doesn't seem quite the same anymore. "It feels like you go to the circus and instead of having a good time, everyone is trying to kill you," drummer Max Bassin says. In the process, Geese transform fragments of classic rock into a sound all their own. With laid-back riffs, gospel sounds, string passages and piano lines that come straight from the saloon.
