Godspeed You! Black Emperor present a new album in 2017. "Luciferian Towers" is the successor to "Asunder, Sweet And Other Distress" from 2015, the Canadians' seventh studio album and the third album since their comeback.

The record comprises just four songs. However, with a playing time of 10 to 20 minutes each, they are, as always, quite something.

Efrim Menuck and co. recorded "Luciferian Towers" at the end of 2016/beginning of 2017 at Hotel2Tango Studio in Montreal. As with the last album, Greg Norman was responsible for engineering and production.
