"Asunder, Sweet And Other Distress" settles for 40 minutes and 23 seconds, making it probably the most focused recording, which, moreover, should have the best sound. After their return in 2010 following a long hiatus, Godspeed started playing concerts again and finally came out with "'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!", released in 2012, their first album in ten years

Then, in late 2013 / early 2014, the band put together the new album. This powerful slab of brilliant sound is infused with everything fans know and love Godspeed for: massive riffs, wild noise / drone, exuberant highs, the battle between guitars and strings, relentless climbs and transitions that leave nothing but scorched earth
