Issam Hajali is best known as the singer and composer of the Lebanese band Ferkat Al Ard. While they recorded 3 albums, only their classic "Oghneya" was released on vinyl and is in great demand in the Lebanese record collecting scene (one copy changed hands in Beirut this year for 5,000 USD).

Before the band got together, he recorded this debut album in Paris in 1977. This rare album fuses jazz and folk with Arab and Iranian influences to create a unique beauty. It was only released in a limited edition of 75 cassettes and is now officially licensed and re-released by Habibi Funk Records from Berlin.
