The Baltimore rapper handled production, mixing and mastering in his home studio, with feature guests Abdu Ali, Helena Deland and Buzzy Lee, and additional vocals from Refined Sugar, Vegyn and Young Emoji.

"All My Heroes Are Cornballs" is an avant-garde experimental hip-hop/punk rap album with influences from experimental pop, glitch hop, ambient, noise and industrial. It has a softer, more melodic sound than its predecessor and uses unusual song structures, extensive sampling and various vocal techniques such as rapping, screaming and singing. The album is personal, introspective and presented in the form of a stream of consciousness, thematically dealing with internet culture, prejudice, politics and JPEGMAFIA's newfound fame.
