Usually ready in 2 hoursLuciano Luciani, an Italian migrant settled in Peru, formed an orchestra in 1968, which was advertised at concerts as "Luciano and his mulattos," after gaining prestige as a composer in that country.
His debut album "Mulata, let's go to the salsa" was originally released by MAG in 1970, mainly containing cumbias and also including cuts of guaracha, son, and salsa, mostly composed by Luciani himself. This record also stands out for the vocals provided by guarachero Víctor Kiko Fuentes and Benny del Solar, a star of countless tropical music recordings.
The album also reflects Luciano Luciani's growing interest in the more modern recordings from Spanish Harlem in New York, which would become clearer in his later works for MAG in 1975.
Now reissued for the first time, more than 50 years after its original release, on 180g vinyl with an inner sleeve featuring liner notes.
