The true gods of stoner underground music, The Melvins , released their album Stoner Witch in 1994. The album is one of their most successful works, where the musical abilities of the band are reflected in the depth, power and experimentation of the sounds. For the included 11 songs, the sound of earlier recordings is enriched with some ambient and hardcore.

In the process, the monster anthem Revolve is a true masterpiece with Southern-rock appeal and a handful of killer tricked-out guitar riffs. Another epic track and one of The Melvins' best recordings is At the Stake. The droning riffs and bass & cymbal driven sounds are stunning and full of fantastic changes. Queen takes a more radio-friendly approach, but doesn't shortchange the traditional Melvins sound.

Formed in 1983, the Melvins can be rated as one of the most versatile bands to date. For their numerous albums they processed influences from blues, pop, metal, rock, grunge and doom. To this day, The Melvins leave no stone unturned and are still active on stage and in the studio.
