After the flood of information in recent years, you don't really feel like "More D4ta" anymore, but in this case you do: "More D4ta" is the name of Moderat's new album. After the Berlin electro trio, which was formed in 2002 from the merger of DJ duo Modeselektor and musician Apparat, announced a longer break in 2017, they are now ending it after six years and are back in 2022 with their fourth long-player. The album "III" was last released in 2016 and reached number five in the charts in Germany.

And that's exactly what "More D4ta" is about: the last few years. Created at a time when touring was impossible, it wrestles with feelings of isolation and information overload.

On the new music, Modeselektor's own label Monkeytown Records writes: "After almost two decades of making music together, Sascha Ring (Apparat), Gernot Bronsert & Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) have developed their very own sound and aesthetic, and 'More D4ta' shows a group that is creatively charged and fully dedicated to their craft." And elsewhere: "The ten songs on 'More D4ta' are rooted in collaboration, but long before any of the tracks were recorded, Moderat spent months reacquainting themselves musically, experimenting extensively and slowly developing ideas as they delved into modular compositions, field recordings and other sonic oddities."
