EXTLP is heavily rooted in the bombastic rave sound, but there's much more than just raging techno and breakneck breakbeats on this album. On the 15 tracks, Modeselektor tear through mutating crunk distortion, glitchy dub meditations and neon synth pop. EXTLP features a star-studded line-up of guests from around the world, including dub veteran Paul St. Hilaire, British rapper Flohio, avant-pop rule-breaker Catnapp and legendary Einstürzende Neubauten frontman Blixa Bargeld. Following the mixtape "Extended" and the three subsequent EPs, EXTLP is the final part of what is perhaps the most productive phase of Modeselektor's entire career.
