Even many years after her death, Nina Simone's songs are still touching and fascinating for countless fans.

With "Fodder On My Wings", Verve is now releasing an album by the legendary singer that was one of the artist's favorite albums, but since it was recorded for a small French label in 1982, it was only sporadically available and is almost forgotten today. This is now set to change, as Verve is reissuing this exciting and emotional work with three bonus tracks on CD and LP.

At the time Nina Simone recorded the album, she had only just moved to France and was suffering from mental health problems. However, her artistic spirit was boiling, as can be heard in the dynamic tracks with African and Caribbean grooves and deeply emotional ballads.
