Dummy is Portishead's groundbreaking 1994 debut and one of the defining albums of the 1990s. The Bristol trio fused hip-hop beats, vinyl crackle, spy-movie samples and Beth Gibbons' devastating vocals into a sound that helped define trip-hop. Winner of the 1995 Mercury Prize, it features timeless tracks including 'Sour Times', 'Roads' and 'Glory Box'. Dark, cinematic and endlessly influential, Dummy is essential for any record collection and a perfect album for late-night listening.
