Public Service Broadcast
This New Noise
"This New Noise," a celebration of the power of radio written to mark the BBC's centenary, saw the band team up with the 88-piece BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley. It was a standout performance at the 2022 BBC Proms and was rated 5* by The Telegraph, which called it "a sonorous, timely and ultimately moving show." Founding member J. Willgoose, Esq. remixed the concerto from scratch to add even more depth and texture to the multi-layered performance, showing it in a new light.
"This New Noise" is the second time Public Service Broadcasting has been commissioned to perform at the BBC Proms. In 2019, the band performed an orchestral arrangement of their 2015 studio album "The Race For Space" with the Multi-Story Orchestra to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first manned mission to the moon.
