After three studio albums of original material, Rage Against The Machine offered a tribute to their musical heroes and showed a great variety of their favorite artists and genres. The album (rel. 2000) was their last studio album and features songs originally made popular by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Minor Threat, Eric B. & Rakim, EPMD, MC5, The Rolling Stones, Cypress Hill, Devo and Afrika Bambaataa. Rather than simply treating each song with hard riffs and raps, each song is treated differently, resulting in a musically diverse album. For example, 'Enegades of Funk' and 'Microphone Fiend' have never been rocked so hard, while 'Ghost of Tom Joad' depicts Rage Against The Machine more subtly than you've ever heard before.
