The record mat with spiral motif is made of 3 mm thick cork. With a diameter of 295 mm, the record mat fits all record players. The insulating properties of cork prevent harmful resonances. In contrast to felt mats, cork also prevents electrostatic charging and thus avoids crackling and popping when the record is played.
