In the fall of 1985, SONIC YOUTH toured the States for the Release of their "Bad Moon Rising" LP. This show at the Smart Bar in Chicago was recorded on a four-track cassette and collects live versions of most of the songs of this album, early performances of "Secret Girl" and "Expressway To Yr Skull" (which would later appear on "Evol"), and a rare, never-before-released ) and a rare, never-before-released live version of "Kat'n'Hat."

Mixed and mastered by the band themselves from the original tape, this LP edition includes liner notes by Gerad Cosloy and SONIC YOUTH sound engineer Aaron Mullan, as well as unpublished photos by Pat Blashill and Steven Koress.
