The Flaming Lips released "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" in 2002, which is the band's best-selling album and went gold in the US, selling over 700,000 albums. The album features one of the band's most iconic songs - "Do You Realize?" - as well as the singles Fight Test, Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell and the title track.

The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition 5 LP Vinyl Box Set includes the original album, B-sides, demos and radio sessions as well as other rarities. The vinyl box set contains 56 tracks, over 30 of which are previously unreleased, and 40 that will be available on vinyl for the first time.
